The tributaries for Lake Ontario and specifically Monroe County has slowed considerably in terms of “lake run” fish. Browns and Steelhead are almost non existent in almost all tribs as waters warm. Smallmouth Bass, Suckers and a few stocked trout mingling upstream. Smallmouth Bass have been the play for the past few weeks but even those have dropped back to.the Lake. Numbers are lower each day in the tribs for Smallies.
Creek conditions on Oatka Creek are good water levels have been decent with recent rains. The DEC has stocked a few of the PFR sites twice this year. Fish are spread out with high waters and inland trout numbers on Oatka Creek seem low this spring.
